Keg-A-Rama is the longest student organized fundraising event in Canada. In conjunction with Molson, the Business Students' Society hold Keg – A – Rama to raise funds for the Saskatchewan Professional Firefighter Association Burn Fund. Since 1974, fire fighters across Saskatchewan have not just bravely fought fires for the residents of Saskatchewan, but have also raised over 5 million dollars to help burn victims of Saskatchewan.Teams of 10 participants are asked to raise a minimum of $400 and compete in relay and obstacle course throughout the campus while pulling a massive keg. Prize categories include top fundraising team, top fundraising individual, fastest team, most outrageous costumes, and many others. Almost no one is left empty handed. Students, Teachers, Firefighters, and local celebrities alike meet at the U of R campus to participate in a jam-packed day of events, all for a good cause! Along with the relay/obstacle course there is always an afternoon dance party within the walls of the U of R multi-purpose room where attendees are treated to cheap drinks, great food, and special guest DJs playing the latest hits. After closing ceremonies and awards participants are treated to an exciting cabaret that night at The Owl to celebrate the victories and great times had during the day.
